Vintage Original Photo, the Main Board of Nuclear Power Plant of Chernobyl – 1977

The first generating unit of the nuclear power station known as Chornobyl NPP information reference was put into service on September 26, 1977. The mid-1960s saw the decision to develop the station. The selection of an appropriate location took a while at first, and the launch dates were repeatedly rescheduled. The necessary materials were not supplied on schedule, and the work proceeded slowly. Meanwhile, Prypiat, a new settlement for its workers, was being developed three kilometers from the station. It was a developed city with about 50,000 residents before to the April 26, 1986, catastrophe at the fourth power unit of the Chernobyl nuclear power facility. “Babel” describes the construction of Ukraine’s first nuclear power facility.
