The Central Committee of the Soviet Communist Party resolved to reconstruct a heavy-duty vehicle manufacturing plant on April 17, 1958. Manufacturing of heavy-duty trucks was moved from the Yaroslavl Motor Plant (YaAZ). On April 10, 1959, the facility produced the first two KrAZ-222 dump trucks using imported parts and assemblies. By 1961, over 500 vehicles had been delivered to 26 different nations, including Argentina, Afghanistan, Bulgaria, China, India, Vietnam, and so on. KrAZ was granted the Order of Lenin on January 26, 1971, in recognition of their timely fulfillment of the five-year plan and their effective creation of new truck models. The facility was renamed “AvtoKrAZ” on January 15, 1976.
Very Good Condition: This photograph is in very good condition, showing only slight signs of age and use. Minimal corner wear, very light fading or a few light scratches might be present but don’t detract from the overall appeal.
