Vintage Original B&W Photo, Drafting the New Constitution of the USSR – 1936

A 31-member special panel led by General Secretary Joseph Stalin drafted the 1936 Constitution. Andrey Vyshinsky, Andrei Zhdanov, Maxim Litvinov, Kliment Voroshilov, Vyacheslav Molotov, Lazar Kaganovich, Nikolai Bukharin, and Karl Radek were among those who took part, albeit the latter two contributed less actively. The draft of the new USSR constitution is discussed by the miners belonging to the group “vorochilovgradougol.”
