Vintage Original B&W Photo, Miss Piggy from the “Muppets” in 1981

The Board of Jewish Education of Greater New York produced World Over, a magazine for Jewish youngsters, from the 1940s to the 1980s. A one-page interview about keeping kosher with Miss Piggy was published in the March 6, 1981 issue. The interview was released in conjunction with the magazine’s Purim festival, which is a fun holiday marked by costumed characters and goofy behavior. Although Miss Piggy’s photos are ascribed to Henson Associates, it’s unclear from the magazine if an interview was done with a Henson representative or if the World Over staff authored the piece themselves.
