Emile Cambier, a Belgian, was the original restaurant owner and originator of Arcadia Beach. He saw a path that ran directly to the water that was ideal for strolling while driving around Odessa. In 105, Cambier constructed a restaurant named “Arcadia” and extended the route of his horse-drawn carriage to this picturesque location. Renamed “Southern Palmyra” during the Soviet era, it stood empty for five years before reopening this summer as the “Porter Pub.” Naturally, just a few relics of its past opulence survive. Odessa, municipal beach.
Good Condition: The photograph exhibits minor signs of age and handling. While there are light scratches and slight fading, along with minor wear at the corners, these imperfections do not detract significantly from the photograph’s strong visual impact or its historical value. Additionally, there are pinholes and tape residue on the top corners, indicative of previous display or mounting.
