Vintage Original B&W Photo, the Nuremberg Trials – 1945

The Tribunal heard evidence against 21 of the accused and tried 24 of the most significant military and political figures of the Third Reich between November 20, 1945, and October 1, 1946. The world, as well as the Tribunal, had knowledge regarding the Nazi Party’s “planning, initiating and waging of aggressive war” from the outset of the trial. The court was shown footage of Nazi concentration camps captured by military photographers from the Allies during the liberating effort.
