Vintage Original B&W Photo, Tsitsernakaberd in 1967

Constructed in 1967 atop Tsitsernakaberd hill in Yerevan, the Armenian Genocide Memorial complex (also known as Tsitsernakaberd) is the official memorial in Armenia honoring the victims of the genocide. Numerous thousands of Armenians assemble at the memorial on April 24, the Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day, each year, to pay tribute to the victims of the genocide. To honor everyone who perished in the Armenian genocide, the people of Tsiternakaberd congregate and lay fresh flowers. Numerous politicians, artists, musicians, athletes, and religious leaders have paid the memorial visits over the years, coming from all over the world.
