Without authorization from his superiors, U.S. Army Special Forces Colonel Walter E. Kurtz is fighting a bloody campaign against the NVA, Viet Cong, and Khmer Rouge forces in 1969 during the Vietnam campaign. He is stationed at an isolated jungle outpost in eastern Cambodia, where he is in charge of local Khmer, Montagnard, and American militia forces. He’s a god to these soldiers.
